Pick your own Pumpkin near Edinburgh & Glasgow (Central Scotland)
Pumpkin picking near Edinburgh
No doubt you have heard of this little gem before in South Queensferry! Families can meander around the nature detective’s trail and finish up beside the pick your own pumpkin patch. There is no pre-booking required and the pumpkins cost roughly between £4 and £10 depending on the size.
The patch is ideally beside the enclosed play area for kiddies to keep everyone entertained and you can visit the farmyard animals after too. Remember to wear your wet gear and suitable boots as it can get a bit muddy; which is all part of the fun! Families will also get a free pumpkin carving kit with every pumpkin picked (until stocks lasts)
After you can pick up a sweet treat in their homey café area.
Opening hours: Daily 09:00- 16:00

Only born last year this patch planted 5,000 pumpkin seeds, all by hand, and ended up with 8,000 pumpkins of all different shapes sizes and colours- so this year should be a good one too! We headed here last year and will definitely be returning this year.
Only a 15 minute drive to the town of North Berwick where you could combine with a brisk beach walk and pick up some food to refuel.
